FAQs & Emergency Tips

Who should I call first if I discover water damage? My insurance agent?
The first call you should make upon discovering water damage is Champion Restoration at 281.599.9393–not your insurance agent. The faster our Emergency Response Team can be on-site to provide a free estimate, the less damage your property will assume. When you call the insurance company or agent to notify them of a loss they are then obligated to open a claim. Often the repair cost will be less than your deductible, and therefore your responsibility. However the result will be a “no-pay claim” which will go on your loss history report; this can result in higher premiums or even uninsurable status. Read more here.

If my water pipes burst in the middle of the night, can I really call Champion Restoration and talk to management?
Oh yes. Our phones are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year—by our management. When you call you will speak directly to management–not a recording. Call us any time, day or night, at 281.599.9393.

When you say 1-Hour Emergency Response Team, does that really mean 1 hour?
In most cases, yes that's true. But because our service area is so large (it's the Houston area), some locations may take longer for our Emergency Response Team to arrive on-site. All of our inspections and estimates are free of charge. Our "Dry In-Place" technology in action

What's the deal with the "Dry In-Place" service you provide?
We provide "Dry In-Place" service to our customers. In-Place Drying utilizing state-of-the-art technology to completely dry out the affected areas—minimizing the damage and removal of any building products. Our goal is to save as much material as possible. This service reduces the amount of material that will need to be replaced—which in turn reduces the repair cost to the customer. Read more here.

Don't other restoration companies in Houston provide "Dry In-Place" service too?
No, not really. Most other companies in our industry simply remove all wet materials, often referred to as "gutting."

Which costs more? Gutting or "Dry In-Place?"
While gutting all wet materials is much easier and faster—it significantly increases the cost to restore and build back. The cost of In-Place Drying is a fraction of the staggering price tag customers have to pay when they build back everything.

Do you provide any kind of air purifier while your team is working?
You bet! No other restoration company utilizes a complimentary, NASA certified air sanitizer for every job the way Champion Restoration does. Because our primary NASA Certified Air Purifierconcern is our customer—we provide this air sanitizer at no charge. Air borne particles are removed—which relieves allergy symptoms, minimizes contaminant related to restoration work, and above all the job site is much cleaner.

Will I need to call someone else to repair the damage to my property?
Not if you call Champion Restoration. Our customers never have to handle multiple contractors and vendors. Champion Restoration provides full 360° service on every project. We manage all aspects of returning property to its pre-loss condition. Most restoration companies will not manage the entire project from start to finish, but we do.

What does all this cost?
That depends on the type and amount of damage your property has sustained. Because we utilize insurance-based pricing on all of our projects—our customers enjoy fair pricing—according to the Texas State Board of Insurance. We never set our prices but adhere to the Board's "reasonable" pricing structure for projects in our market. Customers are free to view our printed pricing structure. We generate a hand-written estimate before starting a water project, and provide the customer the "build-back" estimate within 3 business days of dry-out completion.

What forms of payment do you accept?
Champion Restoration accepts all major credit cards for our customers.
We accept all major credit cards and provide financing options for our customers.
